Zaprite's Point of Sale (POS) feature is a great way to accept bitcoin and card payments on the go and in-person.
Creating a New Point Of Sale (POS) Virtual Terminal
You can create a POS Terminal in one of two main ways:
Click POS in the main navigation, then select New POS,
Click the 'Create New' shortcut icon (
+) in the top right of the app, then select POS Terminal.
Creating a new POS Terminal will feel similar to creating a Payment Link. There are only two required fields:
Title: add a Title for your POS Terminal.
Currency: accept your default Currency, or choose a new Currency.
The ability to enter a BTC (sats) amount will always be available, even if you select a fiat fiat currency.
Next, fill in any of the optional fields including Tax rate and Customer Fields.
Using a POS Virtual Terminal
Once you’ve created a new POS Terminal, you’ll see it listed on the POS dashboard.
Select a Terminal and click View, or click Copy URL to share Terminal with employees or coworkers.
The Customer Experience
Once you’ve accessed a specific POS Terminal, you can simply enter the total amount of an in-person Order (in fiat or sats), and hand over the phone or tablet for your customer to pay.
Your customer will then select the payment method, pay, and you’re all set!
