If you are a customer paying a Zaprite Checkout, there are times when your payment may not be detected by us. The most common of these is when you send a bitcoin onchain payment from an exchange account.
Exchanges often batch bitcoin onchain transactions to save fees. However, this means your transaction my not get broadcast to the bitcoin network for a few hours, or even days. For example, if you choose a 'free transfer' when paying from your exchange, it is likely that your transaction will be batched and sent out at some point in the future.
In these cases, Zaprite will not detect any payment. We watch bitcoin addresses for incoming transactions in our mempool, and if nothing has been broadcast then there is nothing for us to detect.
What can I do?
Zaprite will usually detect the transaction once it has been broadcast—even if it is days later. When that happens, if you have entered your email during the Checkout process, you will receive a receipt email notification from us once the transaction has received one (1) confirmation.
If you are in any doubt, check with your exchange if they batch transactions before you make a payment. If it has been a few days since you made a payment, try to confirm in your exchange account if the payment was sent and follow-up by reaching out to the merchant to see if they have received your funds.
