Creating an Invoice

Invoices allow you to bill a client for your product or service. Invoices can de denominated in fiat or bitcoin, and you can customize the payment methods accepted for each individual Invoice.

Create a new Invoice

Click the [+] icon in the top right corner of the app and select Invoice, or click Invoices in the main navigation and then click the [ + New Invoice ] button.

The Invoice edit page contains various sections each with required and optional fields. These are outlined below.

Details

Contact *

Each Invoice requires a Contact, so the first thing you need to do is select from your list of saved Contacts, or create a new one. See: How do I create a new Contact? (Required)

Number *

This is auto-populated, and is incremented by 1 from the previous Invoice issued for this individual Contact. You can edit this if you need. (Required)

Invoice Date

This is the issue date of your Invoice.

Payment Terms

This field is auto-populated from the Contact defaults, but can be changed.

Currency

Choose the currency this Invoice is denominated in. Invoices denominated in fiat may be paid in BTC—and vice versa.

PO Number

Add an optional PO Number or reference for the Invoice.

Invoice Title

Add an optional Title for the Invoice.

Items

Each Invoice needs at least one Line Item.

Item Title

Add a Title for this item. When you start typing, we will show you previously used Line Items that you can click and populate.

Unit Price

This is the rate, or cost, of the item you are selling. For example: 49.95

Quantity

This is the quantity of this item you are selling. For example: 10.00

Discount

Add an optional Discount on this line item.

Tax

Add an optional Tax rate on this line item.

Description

Add an optional description for this line item.

You can click the [ + New Line Item ] button to add additional Line Items.

Payment

This is where you can choose your preferred payment methods to accept for this Invoice.

Default

Your default Checkout will be used. To edit your default Checkout, click the Checkout button in the main navigation.

Custom

You can customize the payment methods available for this specific Payment Link. This will create a customized configuration that will be loaded on the checkout page for this Payment Link only.

You can click the [Preview] button at any time to see what your payment methods will look like on the Checkout page.

Options

Customer Note

This is an optional field that will be pre-populated with the Contact's default.

Preview

This Preview section will display the information you have entered in the fields above.

When you are ready, click the [Save] button or click [ Send ] to send your Invoice.
