Every invoice must be assigned to a Contact.
Creating a new Contact
You can create a Contact in a number of different ways:
1. Click the [+] symbol on the Dashboard to open the 'Quick-create' menu; or
2. Navigate to 'Contacts' from the main navigation, and then click the 'New Contact' button; or
3. When adding or editing an Invoice, you can click the 'Add a Contact' text link to manage your Contacts.
Available fields
Contact Details
| Legal name | This is the name shown on Invoices that will be issued to this Contact. | 
| Display name | A short name for your Organization to see in Zaprite. | 
| Contact name | If this Contact is a company, this is the name of the contact person. | 
| The email to which we will send Invoices issued to them. | |
| Tax ID | Will be shown on the Invoices issued to this Contact. | 
| Internal Note | Internal note for your Organization to see in Zaprite. | 
Billing Address
Standard address information can be entered here.
Default Invoice Settings
| Currency | The default currency populated when creating new Invoices. | 
| Payment terms | The default Payment Terms populated when creating new Invoices. | 
| Footer note | Use this field to add an optional note at the end of each Invoice, for example: 'Thank you for your business.' You may use your account default settings instead, or remove the note from individual Invoices. |
