Delete your account in the app
Open Zaprite P2P.
Go to Settings > Delete Account.
Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. The app then erases itself from the device.
Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app, or cannot open it, email [email protected] with the subject Delete my Zaprite P2P account and include the phone number you signed up with. You do not need to reinstall the app.
Our servers do not store your phone number in readable form, so we confirm the number is yours before deleting anything:
We send a code to the number by SMS. Reply to our email with it.
We wait 7 days. During that time the account keeps working, and the app on any device signed in to it shows the request so the owner can cancel it.
We send a second code. Once you reply with it, we delete the account and confirm by email.
We complete requests within one month.
What is deleted
Your account: user record, username, and the phone number identifier we hold (a one-way hash, never the number itself).
Your profile, including your name and photo.
Your encrypted backups of account keys and app data.
Your passkey and device registrations, push notification tokens, and app attestation records.
Your list of blocked users, and blocks other users placed on you.
Messages and payment requests waiting on our servers for delivery, and messages you sent that are still stored there.
Phone recovery requests and their verification codes.
Your Zaprite Organization, including the wallets you connected through the app and any linked Zaprite Pay browser sessions.
Everything stored by the app on your device, when you delete from the app.
Your phone number and username become available for a new account right away.
What is kept, and for how long
Copies on other people's devices. Messages, payment requests, and your profile details that were already delivered to your contacts stay on their devices. We cannot reach them.
Payment orders. Peer-to-peer payment orders are deleted from Zaprite's servers about 6 hours after they settle, or after up to 30 days while a transaction is still pending.
Records kept by merchants. Merchants you paid keep their own records of those payments.
Short-lived security records. Sign-up verification codes and device checks expire and are removed automatically within minutes.
Things you control. Your passkey stays in your password manager (for example iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager) and your recovery phrase stays wherever you saved it. You can delete them yourself.
