How To Create Event Tickets In Zaprite

Learn how to create a new Event and add multiple Tickets for sale.

Zaprite's Event Tickets feature allows you to create an Event and generate Ticket sales using your preferred custom Checkout. Tickets are generated and emailed to each customer containing a unique QR code that can be scanned to check-in individual attendees at your Event.

This short tutorial walks through the steps involved to get you up and running with your new Event.

Create a new Event

The first step is to create a new Event. Click Event Tickets in the main navigation, or click '+' then 'New Event' from the Quick Menu in the header navigation bar.

Event Details

Enter the details for your Event in the first section.

Field

Data

Title *

Add an Event title to be displayed on the Event Tickets landing page, Checkout pages and Tickets and other public pages.

Image

Upload a hero image. 3:1 ratio recommended. Minimum size recommended is 960 px (w) x 320 px (h). If no image is added, a default icon is shown.

Branding Logo

Upload an icon to override your Organization's brand icon.

Branding Color

Set this if you want to override your Organization's brand color.

Description

Add a description for your Event. This will be available behind a 'Read more' text link. You can style this text and add links.

Event Location

Add the Location for your Event.

Event Timezone *

You must choose a Timezone for your Event.

Start Date *

Add the date your Event starts.

End Date *

Add the date your Event ends.

Start Time

Add a Start Time in your Event's Timezone.

End Time

Add an End Time in your Event's Timezone.

Internal Note

An optional internal note shown only to you.

Tickets

Next, add your individual Tickets.

Checkout Settings

Start by selecting an overall Currency and optional default Tax Rate for your Ticket sales Checkout.

Currency *

Choose the currency for your Ticket sales Checkout.

Tax Rate

Add any tax rate to be applied to your Tickets. This will be used as the default tax rate, but you can set individual tax rates on each Ticket.

Add New Tickets

Click the [ + Add Ticket ] button to start adding your Event Tickets.

Title *

Add a Ticket title to be displayed on the Event Tickets landing page, Checkout pages and Tickets and other public pages.

Image

Upload a Ticket image. 16:9 aspect ratio recommended. Minimum size recommended is 240 px (w) x 135 px (h). If no image is added, a default icon is shown.

Description

Add a description for your Ticket. This will be available behind a 'Details' text link. You can style this text and add links.

Price *

Set the price for this Ticket. For 'FREE' Tickets, set this value to 0.

Tax Rate

Add a tax rate to override any default Tax Rate set above.

Stock Available

Use this field to set a maximum amount of this Ticket available for sale.

Max. per Order

Use this field to set a maximum amount of this Ticket allowed to be purchased per Order.

Internal Note

An optional internal note shown only to you.

Options

Customer Fields

Note: Email addresses are required by default for Event Tickets and cannot be disabled.

Select any additional fields you would like displayed to customers purchasing Tickets, and choose whether they should be Required or not.

Global Tags

Optionally add tags to categorize Orders and Transactions received.

Notifications

Uncheck this box to disable email notifications for each Ticket sales Order.

Payment

Choose your Default Checkout, or create a custom Checkout for this Event, including adding any Discounts or Premiums to Payment Methods.

Coupons

You can create Coupons / Promo Codes that can be applied to Orders.

Click the [ + Add Coupon ] button to add a new Coupon.

Field

Code *

Add the coupon code that your customers will enter on your Checkout. Example: EARLY21

Discount *

Add the percentage discount for the coupon code. Example: 21%.

Name

Add the name that will be displayed on Checkouts. A default name is pre-populated and will be used if not overwritten. Example: 21% Earlybird Discount.

Internal Note

An optional internal note shown only to you.

Note: Only one coupon can be used per Order. All coupon discounts are applied to subtotals, before any taxes or additional fees/discounts.
